  • Why join the Innovation Monitor?
    Online since May 2018, the Innovation Monitor is the only publicly available database providing information on active Swiss startups and projects in the environment and energy business sectors. Search through the list on the website, , follow our yearly research results, and stay informed of relevant support and events.

    As a startup or innovative project, participate by entering your own data: register on the website to keep your profile up-to-date. Your data will be checked and transferred to the research database. Selected information will be shown publicly on the website. We use this information to inform you of interesting opportunities, provide visibility to government and industry of the evolving business sector, and enhance our research in order to support Swiss startups further.

    It is a living database, we therefore look forward in receiving your feedback, questions and suggestions, to continue improving our work.


    Swiss Green Economy Symposium
    On September 4th, 2018, the sixth Swiss Green Economy Symposium will take place in Winterthur. The Motto is "Sustainable Benefits: local and worldwide, how do we get there?". Startups are invited to present their project to the participants at 12 parallel workshops with one especially for digitalisation and energy. The Innovation Monitor team has 12 free tickets to give away to Startups registered to the database; send us an email to info @ innovation-monitor.ch specifying your interest in participating.


    Take your Swiss cleantech to India
    Swissnex India is organising a week-long mission to India for Swiss cleantech startups, academics and SMEs looking for business opportunities in the Indian market. The delegation will visit Intersolar – the most sought-after conference by solar and energy players, which provides an opportunity to meet 17’000+ business professionals from 55 countries interested in solar, energy storage and electric mobility business. Stops in Mumbai and Gujarat give further possibilities for site visits and individual meetings.

    Startup Exchange Massachusetts (MA) – Switzerland (CH)
    Are you a Swiss Cleantech Startup and planning to expand to the US Market? Then have a look at MAtCH, the startup exchange program between Massachusetts (MA, USA) and Switzerland (CH). The program supports Swiss cleantech startups for market entry in the US with an exchange of up to three months in the largest US cleantech incubator: the GreenTown Labs in Massachusetts. Applications can be submitted at any time.

    Support for innovative energy projects in Switzerland
    The Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) supports innovative, energy-related pilot and demonstration projects in Switzerland. In 2017, nearly 100 projects received a contribution, for a total amount of about 18 Mio. Swiss Francs. Similar numbers are expected for 2018, and the program aims to continue supporting promising projects in the coming years. Applications for support can be submitted on an ongoing basis.

    Energy and Cleantech promotion in developing and transition countries
    REPIC is a platform for the promotion of renewable energy, energy and resource efficiency in international cooperation. Swiss organisations can benefit from a financial support from REPIC when they implement an energy or cleantech project in a developing or transition country and which fits the targets of the program. The next deadline for project submission is on October 31, 2018.

    Energy Startup Day 2018
    The 4th edition of the yearly Energy Startup Day will take place on November 29, 2018 in Zurich. The event connects ground-breaking Swiss startups, working in the energy area (including energy efficiency, energy production, energy grid, mobility, and more), to incumbent companies, public institutions and new actors in order to foster relationships and collaboration.
